British Labrador Retriever Association Website Launched
The British Labrador Retriever Association, the organization charged by the American GunDog Club with conducting field trials, has launched
its new website. Located at www.BritLabBreeders.com, the website is the source for
all information relating to the burgeoning British Field Trials in the United States. Beginning May 1, 2009, British Lab Breeders will be able to
join the BLRA online and be eligible for the featured member spot on the front of the BLRA website.
Judging Criteria Released
The American GunDog Club is proud to release its judging
criteria for all trials. These judging criteria are all important
behaviors for a gundog. Any dog that excels in these behaviors will
be a pleasant and valuable hunting companion. More importantly,
that dog will be a valuable conservation agent, by collecting many
crippled birds that might otherwise be lost.

American Gun Dog Registration
The American GunDog Club will be providing registration services for all AKC, CKC or KC registered Labradors competing in AGC Field Trials. Labradors. Included in this system are the automatica awarding of titles and compilation of pedigrees.

Retriever Field Trials for Hunters
There is a new retriever field trial game on the scene. It is aimed at the 1.2 million gundogs employed in the US to retrieve the waterfowl and upland gamebirds downed by their hunter/owners. This field trial is conducted entirely on actual shooting of flying birds in two basic scenarios where each dog's test is different and is determined by where the bird falls.
